Klamath County Real Estate Market Statistics for December 2021.
The shortage of inventory continues to be a trend in Klamath County with another decline in housing volume for December. November saw 77 new listings, while December only saw 53. This is indicative of the holiday season and a slow season while most homeowners and home buyers avoid the potential gap in housing during Christmas and New Years. This has been an ongoing trend throughout the year and has continued through the end of 2021.
Homes are going quicker this month than last month, only sitting on the market for an average of 30 days. Since April, the average days on the market has continued to rise. April saw the lowest average time on the market at just 20 days.
The number of homes sold has risen from 114 last month, to 127 in December. December of 2020 saw 126 homes sold, which indicates that we are seeing the same trends from last year.
Sales prices have risen 10% from last year in December. Home values are continuing to rise. Klamath County has an average sale price of $283,728 for December.
